NEWS and Upcoming EVENTS

• Monthly - Members Meeting  7:30pm  in the Museum on third Tuesday of every month, except July, August & December: Jan 19, Feb 16, Mar 16, Apr 20, May 18, Jun 15, Sep 21, Oct 19, and Nov 16.

• West Morris Central Students Volunteer in Museum - Several students helped accomplish various tasks at the museum earlier this winter - see local article.

• September 12 - WTHS Stabilization Committee will showcase the preservation effort by Vince Iacampo on the ruins of Union Church.  Representatives of the "Union" churches (Zion Lutheran and Long Valley Presbyterian Church) have been invited.  A short ceremony at 2pm will be followed by refreshments at the museum. 

• September 20,21 - Genealogist Russ Worthington will present a digital slide show of what web-site "Find-A-Grave" has to offer and how to use it as a tool for research and information.  The program is sponsored by WTHS and will be held at its museum on September 20 for the public and September 21 for historical society members only. The program starts at 7:30pm both evenings and is the same both nights.  See more details.

• October 19 - WTHS celebrates 50 Years!  Our historical society began 50 years ago in 1960.  All are welcome to view a slide show of members and activities through the years and enjoy special refreshments.  7:30pm in the WTHS Museum.

• December 11 - WTHS will hold its annual Historic House Tour; see details.
