events of our great state and explore our diverse geography: mountains,
highlands, rivers, lakes, and seashore. Visit the South, the North,
the Central, and little-known places in between. This
program will be held at the Washington Township Public Library, 37 East
Springtown Road in Long Valley and is sponsored by the Washington Township
Historical Society. Linda Barth is an
author, historian, and life-long resident of the Garden State. She has
recently joined the board of "Celebrate NJ" - a grassroots
movement that builds pride in and fosters a brighter future about New Jersey
through educational programs and promotional initiatives. Ms. Barth
has written two books on the D&R Canal for Arcadia Publishing and her
children's picture book, "Bridgetender's Boy" was published by the
National Canal Museum in 2005. Her latest book, "Hidden New
Jersey" is due to be out in 2008. There
is no admission charge for this program and all are welcome.
