The stone school built in 1830 is now the Washington Township Historical Society Museum.

Our collections preserve the history of Washington Township.  Please view the lists to see our collection of artifacts, books, and maps.  Numerous photographs are also maintained that may be viewed at the Museum.  In addition, following cemetery listings may be viewed here or at the museum:

The WTHS museum is located at  6 Fairview Avenue, Long Valley, NJ.  Directions to the museum.

Museum Hours:  Sundays  2:00 - 4:00pm or by appointment.  There is no admission fee but donations are appreciated. To make an appointment, please email info@wthsnj.org or phone (908) 876-9696.

Note: In the winter, the weather in Long Valley is usually worse than elsewhere.  When the weather is bad on Sunday we may not be open.  Please understand we are all volunteers and cannot commit to the Museum being open on holidays that occur on Sunday (i.e. Easter, Mother's Day) and those that occur on Monday (i.e. Labor Day week-end).
