2010 Historic House Tour: The 27th annual historic house tour was held on Saturday, December 11th.
2010 March 15-24: John Hemmings' presentation of "Historic Railroad in Washington Township" where he discussed the 100 years (1876-1976) of Central Railroad of New Jersey in Washington Township - the "High Bridge Branch." High resolution version of this program is available on DVD - see under Gift Shop on home-page. Read the small pamphlet on the railroad in Washington Township. 2010 March 8: Dr. Richard Veit presented "Archeological Discovery at Union Church Ruins". In this video Dr. Veit explains results of limited archeological excavation conducted during the summer of 2009.
1749 Deed of Long Valley Land Purchase: This deed concerns the 210 acres of Long Valley land purchased by Peter Sharpenstien from William Logan. This artifact, dated December 9, 1749 may be viewed at the WTHS Museum; its picture is attached here. In February 2010, West Morris Central High School students transcribed this deed; read its transcription.
